Storm Marker
The last of the showers moves away from the North Kent coast leaving the evening cold and clear...with fog to come on the drive back inland! Scored 14/20 in the BCC POTY 2016 R8 - Rain.
Rays of Light
The sun hiding behind the clouds as sunset marches along above Reculver Abbey.
Defending the Abbey
Large rocks form the sea defences along Kent's northern sea wall. Reculver Abbey sits atop the hill.
Red Chimneys
The Old Lighthouse
Bluebells and Lighthouses
Beached High
A narrow railway line leads by this boat, not good for much - but then nor is the boat to be honest.
Old Netting
Serviceable
This one looks like it might actually work - much better condition than most of the other ships!
Beyond Repair
A small fishing boat on Dungeness Beach, this one is very much a fixer-upper. Scored 16/20 in the BCC POTY 2016 R5 - Open.
The End
This one certainly isn't going anywhere. Dungeness Beach is full of dead boats and other wreckage, a junkyard for sure.
Still Standing
Standing it may be, but this shed can't be counted as a shelter, that's for sure.
Dining Room
The View from Up High
Dusty Light
Sunny light pours in from outside as we work our way up one of the towers in Bodiam Castle.
Bridge Over the Moat
The entrance to Bodiam Castle - this was the quietest it got while we were there, and I got lucky with this. Early one misty summer morning would be a good time to visit...
