Metal and Glasswork

The roof of the Museum of Natural History is an imposing structure of ornate steel supports and glass windows flooding the room with bright light. Impressive.

Stampeding Skeletons

Lots of animal skeletons all in a row in the Museum of Natural History in Oxford.

The Bridge of Sighs

Another famous landmark in Oxford - but again one that I find difficult to get an interesting angle or edit of. Bright sunny day on this though with lots of people milling around.

Radcliffe Camera

Such an iconic building, so difficult to get a good shot of. I've wandered around here many times but never spotted a good angle, this wasn't bad - although much of the building is missing.

The Giant

Still trying to perfect motion blur and panning, but pleased with the detail left in this shot - even if the cyclist did come closer to me than was ideal!

Hair Twirler

While waiting for the bus back to the car this girl stood opposite us continuously twirling her hair. Shame I couldn't get a closer shot.

Magdelen Cloisters

The light streams through the windows on the northern end of the Magdelen College cloisters. The corridors are quiet as the College isn't fully back in business yet after the Summer break. Tricky shot this - no wide-angle lens so two shots (left and right corridors separately shot as HDR) blended in Photoshop. Plus a variety of maintenance works cropped out of one of the corridors!

Several of these tags were spotted around Oxford on our stroll, a clean-up campaign against old bikes is obviously underway in the city.

Pink Leeks

A cyclist whizzes buy with a basket loaded with leeks. As you do.

One of the most photographic buildings in Oxford appsrently, but I'd never shot it before today. It's not in an easy place to get a good shot frankly, and I didn't have the wide-angle lens either - will revisit one day and perhaps try long exposure around it.

The Sheldonian Theatre

Blue skies breaking out over us as we begin the trek around Oxford in search of photographic masterpieces.

Objects in Mirror

Are more Stuart-like than they appear. Mr Smith reflected in the mirror of a brightly coloured Vespa on Broad Street.

Break Time

Dad and youngster rest on Broad Street. Probably not their bike but made a good shot none-the-less!
