DAEBG E190 Lufthansa
Seemingly very high on rotation this Embraer 190 is just landing from Munich.
Taxiing In
The A342 taxies to the main terminal to collect the orchestra.
L'Armée De L'Air est Arrivé
Piano keys reflected in the belly this French Military A340-200 is just a second or so from touchdown at Birmingham, inbound to collect an orchestra before returning to Paris. As you do.
Armée De L'Air A340 FRAJB
A pretty rare aircraft - an A340-200 - about to land at Birmingham to collect an orchestra.
Long and thin
A Eurowings CRJ900 about to land at Birmingham. Looks very long, and the engines don't look big enough for the length of the aircraft. Odd.
Got the Strobe...sort of
A Ryanair 737-800 on shot final, the strobe is hidden on the belly but is illuminating the main wheels!
A Monarch Minibus
An A320 of Monarch, one of about 7 aircraft which I reckon Monarch have based at Birmingham. Billboard website titles don't look right, they've been changed with the .co.uk being dropped. Still not a fan of the titles though.
GCPEV B752 Thomson
If I liked the Dreamliner livery on a 738, it looks even better on a sleek 757.
GFDZU rolls
First time I've photographed the new "Dreamliner" livery, and I must say it is a significant improvement on the old blue that the airline had just adopted as I left way back in 2003. I like it! The Birmingham Fire Station is in the background, engines at the ready.
EIDEN A320 Aer Lingus
The Thomson Twins
Third in my series of "twins" is my former employer - GFDZR touching down while GFDZU is taxiing out for a flight to Corfu. Heat haze has spoilt the sharpness of this shot, or it might be the teleconverter - not sure, but it wasn't a successful trip!
GECOK DHC8 flybe/Brussels Airlines
A Dash Eight operated for Brussels Airlines by flyby launches skyward.
Monarch Twins
The afternoon at Birmingham seemed to be one of pairs - this duo of Monarch A321's as an example. GMARA is just arriving back from Funchal while GOZBZ is off to Larnaca. Shame about the heat haze once more.
GOZBE A321 Monarch
Rotating off 33 at Birmingham bound for Hurghada.
Flybe Twins
An Embraer ERJ170 about to touchdown with a Dash 8 sitting on a remote stand on the apron behind.
GZBAF A321 Monarch
The piano keys are reflected in the belly of this A321, one of many shots spoilt by heat haze today.
GOZBM A321 Monarch
A shot spoilt by the heat haze from the building.
