Approaching
Looking the other way from the tunnel towards the exit with people approaching us.
Sterile
The lights change colour with alarming regularity in Half-Life, but on this pass they all went white. Not a monochrome shot, but illustrating the starkness of the tunnel in white.
Pink Half-Life
A solitary person/alien walking along the Half-Life tunnel at the entrance to Kings Cross Underground Station.
Empty
Baker Street sits quietly awaiting the next batch of travellers. Turns out this station is much bigger than just these platforms, we arrived on the Jubilee Line and it took us ages to find these platforms!
Symmetry
Southwark Station is another modernised underground station with some impressive architecture, my first visit here. This is the corridor between the two platforms on the Jubilee Line. Held back and scored 19/20 in the BCC POTY 2016 R5 - Monochromatic.
Lowdown Halflife
The blur of a walker passing as I shot the tunnel from a lower angle.
Halflife
One of the many tunnels into the Kings Cross underground has a new art installation installed, Halflife. The luminous wall alternates through the colour spectrum and every time it goes blank the colour changes slightly as it works through the ranges.
Lattice
I've shot this a few times now, but this is the first time I've seen the terminal roof green, so took a chance on a different angle and shot the metalwork from behind, looking up.
Kings Cross Arches
The arches at the end of the platforms at Kings Cross are just as impressive from the outside, I'd never ventured this way before but instead spent most of my time inside shooting out.
Bikes and Trains
A look up the platforms at Kings Corss, rows of bikes parked up on the platform while numerous trains prepare to depart.
Kings Cross
The evening rush is dying down in Kings Cross but still people mill around the station.
Poppies in Kings Cross
A quickish stop on the way home from Stratford and a chance for Martyn to see the impressive station that Kings Cross has become - now with a Remembrance Poppy as well.
Contemplation
A commuter waits at Mile End Station for a train to leave London.
Mind The Gap
London Bridge Underground Station and Linda bravely stands near the platform as a train arrives.
Giant Lattice
Standing directly beneath the giant metal latticework in the redeveloped Kings Cross Station, looking up at the sky through the windows. Scored 18/20 in the BCC POTY 2014 Round 7 - Patterns.

Split View
Another straight-up shot of the ironwork in the concourse at Kings Cross, with some Photoshop trickery to make the lights work on all sides (the left-most light was broken so I mirrored the right side of the image across!)
Triangles
Close-up of the roof above the concourse in Kings Cross, taken as we munched a rather delicious cake.
Silent Trains
Three East Coast Intercity trains sit on the platforms underneath the Kings Cross arches with no destinations due to the engineering works.
Rush Rush
There aren't many trains running from Kings Cross on this Good Friday due to engineering works, as evidenced by the almost empty departure boards, but still people bustle about on the station concourse.
Modern architecture meets old in Kings Cross, with this lattice structure towering above the station concourse.
Lanterns
Linda walks through one of the entrance corridors to St Pancras, an ornate structure with old-fashioned lanterns hanging from above - the modern concrete building opposite the road providing a stark contrast.
Rush Hour
More small bronzed sculptures with impressive details, the arches in St Pancras are reproduced here in great detail. The sculptures are probably no more than a few centimetres high.
Tiny Sculptures
At the foot of the giants kissing statue are much smaller bronze works with hugely impressive detail levels.
