Looking up into the blue skies at the buildings by 2 Temple Place while waiting for the PhotoWalk to commence.

Two Temple Place

A hanging bulldog on the wall of Two Temple Place representing The Bulldog Trust, a late Victorian mansion on Victoria Embankment. The starting place for our Photowalk and an interesting little building used for private functions and exhibitions, although not open for us on this occasion.

Scott Kelby

Our photo walk leader was none other than Scott Kelby, the name behind the Photo Walks and an author and photographer of note from the USA. Always good to photograph an American by a typical London cliché - in this case a red phone box!

Reflections

Clouds and blue skies reflected in a building along the Embankment.

Fallen

As we head towards Temple Church a flower sits on the floor, discarded by the people stocking the window baskets and decorations in the buildings.

Stopped Time

Midday all day on the clock atop this building.

Namelist

Lots of buildings in Temple Bar all appear to be the workplaces of the numerous London Barristers, their names listed at the entrances to the buildings.

Pink

Chained to the railings in Temple Bar is a brightly colour bicycle.

A Porsche sits in the car park and the buildings behind reflect nicely in the polished paintwork which is speckled with the remnants of the overnight rain.

Chimping

One of the PhotoWalk toggers pauses near Temple Church to check her work.

Temple Church

Tucked in amongst the buildings is this small round church, which featured in the Dan Brown book The Da Vinci Code.

Entrance

Ornate stonework adorns the main entrance to the Temple Church.

The Heraldic Dragon

The Temple Bar Marker in the centre of the road is the point where Fleet Street becomes The Strand next to the Royal Courts of Justice. A red phone box adds the colour in front of the Old Bank of England building. The pedestal for the dragon sculpted by Charles Bell Birch includes a statue of Queen Victoria visible in this picture.

The Royal Courts of Justice

A view seen often on television news reports but the first time I had seen the imposing Royal Courts of Justice building. Difficult to get a clean shot of this building because there is so much work going around around the road and pavements.

Autumnal

Yep the seasons are changing.

RAF Clement St Danes

Just around the corner from the Royal Courts of Justice is RAF Clement St Danes, a small church with an impressively wide aisle and some lovely architecture. 50+ photographers descended on the place for a little while, this was a high-ISO hand-held DR shot which worked out reasonably well.

Pigeon Street

Australia House in the background, and a pigeon with some serious foot issues stares suspiciously at me as I get as close as possible with the camera.

Cherry Cola and a Smoke

Abandoned outside the RAF Church, seemingly perfectly set up for 50 photographers...

Strand Station

A small entrance to a disused station - this is actually the entrance to Aldwych Station, although the original sign has been removed.

Somerset House Fountain

People mill around the courtyard at Somerset House amongst the bobbing fountains.

Cracked

An art installation outside Covent Garden - a building split in two which you can walk through!

Wired for Sound

Headphones on and selecting music while sheltering from the rain outside Covent Garden.
